The Amica Triathlon Series began in 2009 with 5,000+ triathletes competing in eight races nationwide. In 2010, the Amica Triathlon Series will be adding two new races in Newport, Rhode Island and Boston, Massachusetts - as well as converting all 10 races to one uniform distance - 19.7 miles. |

Cox Rhode Island Sports Awards

The fourth annual Cox Rhode Island Sports will be held June, 2010 at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Downtown Providence. The event recognizes the Ocean State’s celebrities from the sports world as well as Rhode Island’s best high school scholar-athletes. Cox Sports will broadcast a highlight show of the Rhode Island Sports Awards. |

Hockey Skills Challenge

Comparable to football’s Punt Pass and Kick, Hockey Skills Challenge was recently launched in New England to identify the best youth hockey players. With 10 qualifying events and clinics throughout the area, the competition will culminate at the TD Garden and the Hockey East finals. Plans are to make HSC a national event in 2011. |
