Sport Marketing Intern (Providence, RI)

Position Summary: Eident Sports is seeking interns for the 2012 summer and fall semesters to gain valuable experience in sports sponsorship sales, marketing and event operations. They will be immersed in the rapidly-growing sports industry by assisting Eident’s marketing, operations and business development teams. All positions are located at the Eident Sports Marketing offices in Downtown Providence, RI.

Major Responsibilities

• Help with operation planning, monitor race calendars, help find volunteers, volunteer coordination, etc.
• Assist in creation and distribution of marketing & sales materials including client presentations, event recap reports, email marketing communications, media relations, etc.
• Other related duties/projects as reasonably assigned

Requirements

• Strong written, oral and organizational skills
• Self-starter with strong ability to work as part of a team
• Proficiency and comfort using all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
• Must be able to commit to at least 8-10 hours a week at Eident’s offices in downtown Providence
• Strong interest in sports marketing, sales or sales process management
• Must be able to commit to work event weekends

Education & Experience Needed

• Currently enrolled in a top college or university (undergraduate and graduate levels accepted)
• Must be in good academic standing
• Strong references
• HTML experience a plus
